Band of Climbers Map of the best climbs of the Italian Alps

The Italian Alps. An area packed with stunning remote climbs on road and gravel. To help your holiday planning and adventures in up, we've created an interactive map with many of our favourite climbs, so you can plot routes on Strava knowing exactly where to find each climb.

This map shows the summit locations of many of the French Alps finest climbs. Those icons shown with our circular logo are our personal favourites or the typically most popular climbs of the region, and climbs everyone should ride at least once.

We created this map to help you plan your own rides, routes and adventures.

Some notes, this is by no means an exhaustive map of every climb in the region. Frankly, there are far too many to list. Many of these we have ridden, but there are several we haven't personally ridden ourselves. There are a few huge gravel climbs in this map, such as the Colle del Sommeiller, which rises to a massive 2993m, higher than any paved climb in the Alps.

Enjoy the route planning, and let us know in the comments if we're missing any of your favourites.

Hi,
I would like to suggest you a route not far from Turin, that I climb some years ago and leads to Rifugio Barbara Lowrie: about 9 km with an average slope of more than 11%, that I found very very tough. Probably it is not as famous as other italian climbs, but if you are near Bobbio Pellice, where the climb starts, you should try its ascent, even to taste the tipical mountain food you should find at the refuge.
If you like MTB, you can also find some paths that allows to continue the climb after the end of paved route.
